IntelliZoom: What's in it for me?
- Find the right participants with access to the largest global network of B2B and B2C research participants in the world, directly from within the UserZoom UX research platform.

Targeting criteria
Advanced targeting criteria ensure you find your target audience. Criteria include:
- B2B/B2C: Choose whether you’d like to recruit professionals or consumers. Remember, recruiting professionals often has a longer fulfillment time and may require more credits.
- Demographics: Target by age, gender, household income, employment status, ethnicity, household investable assets, and Hispanic origin.
- Location: Automatic participant recruitment is available in 14 countries. (see below).
- Job Titles: Target by job title to find the professional audience level you’d like to reach.
- Firmographics: Choose from firmographic characteristics including company size and company department.
- Technology: Narrow down your audience by mobile phone carrier.
- Custom Screener Surveys with multiple choice, picture choice, radio, dropdown, matrix, rating scale, and text question types along with skip logic to help qualify your ideal participants.

- Your account configuration determines the countries where automated recruiting is available to you.
- You can add a new country to your account by simply contacting us or your account manager.
Country not on the list?
✅ Plan Availability: Essentials, Professional, International, and Premium
- Recruit participants from countries where automatic recruiting isn't yet available by selecting the Other Country option.
- If you choose the Other Country option:
- Recruiting is not automatic and will take more time than normal.
- Information normally captured by the IntelliZoom criteria in the Results (age, gender, household income) isn't available. Add questions to the study prior to launch to get this information.
Study types
Automated recruiting for desktop and mobile studies
All study types offer automated recruitment with UserZoom with the following exceptions:
- Live Intercept studies (Not compatible as they are meant to get feedback from real visitors.)
- App studies with the SDK (Refer to the information below.)
Recruiting for app studies with Code Integration (formerly SDK)

Currently, automated recruiting is not available for app studies with Code Integration (formerly SDK). Refer to Mobile app testing: Codeless vs Code Integration for more information. If you want to recruit for an app study in UserZoom:
- Contact us with the following information:
- Participant profile(s) (country, age, gender, income, and/or any other criteria)
- Number of participants per profile
- Due date
- Study ID of the study that you created
- App name in the Mobile Apps Library
- The tags added to your app
- We will ask our Participant Recruitment team to look into the recruiting of the study.
- If you are testing a non-live app, please provide us with the .ipk or .ipa file of your app with the SDK integrated so we can host it on our servers. This allows participants to download and install the app during the study.
Quality assurance
How UserZoom's study quarantine rules work
- Quarantine rules are used by all panel companies, for maintaining good participant data quality.
- There are rules around the number of days a panelist is held from completing more than one study from a particular customer.
- They can vary from 14 to 30 days depending on the country.
- Quarantine Rules are based on:
- Customer study
- Completes only
- Country
- Study type (Think Out Loud(TOL) and non-TOL)
- For example:
- If a panelist completes a study from Company ABC, they will not be invited to a Company ABC study for X number of days.
- If a panelist has been invited to more than one study by Company ABC, they will only be able to complete one study and the quarantine rules will apply to other invites.
Why it's important
- To maintain high standards of data quality on our panel.
- To prevent participants from:
- Becoming professional testers.
- Completing similar studies over and over again, as this leads to biased insights.
